WIU Summer Program, Discover the World Through Science

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University's College of Arts and Sciences is sponsoring "Discover the World Through Science," a summer science program for high school students during the week of June 5-10. During that time students will be provided an opportunity to participate in hands-on scientific discovery in a wide variety of disciplines.

Top faculty from WIU's Department of Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Geography (Meteorology), Geology, Mathematics, Nursing, Physics, and Psychology (Neuroscience) coordinate the instructional portion of the program and are available throughout the week for group and individual discussions.

Enrollment is limited to 18 students so early registration is recommended. The registration fee is $475 and includes tuition, supplies, all scheduled extracurricular activities, lodging, and all meals. Parents who wish to use a payment plan may send a $100 deposit at the time of registration. Fifty percent of the registration fee is due 60 days prior to the program, and full payment is due 30 days prior.
