MACOMB, IL – The third annual Kline Professorship Lecture will be presented Thursday, April 21, by Associate Professor of Foreign Languages and Literatures Guada Cabedo-Timmons.

Cabedo-Timmons will talk about the work of Ana Maria Matute, one of Spain's foremost contemporary writers. Her treatment of children and adolescents without a mother figure is a recurring theme that Cabedo-Timmons will explore in Matute's work.

"Ana Marie Matute: An Exploration of Loss in Franco's Post War Spain" begins at 5 p.m. in Morgan Hall, room 310. The lecture is open free to the public and is sponsored by WIU's Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures.
