MACOMB, IL -- Parents can go to the football game to cheer on the Western Illinois University Leathernecks Saturday, Oct. 26 at Hanson Field while their kids attend "Camp Rocky" right next door.

Sponsored by Western's recreation, park and tourism administration (RPTA) department's Student Recreation Society and Pizza Hut, the half-day camp will be held from noon to 4 p.m. in the WIU Student Recreation Center. Children ages five to 12 can check-in anytime between noon and 1p.m., and will be able to participate in a variety of craft activities and games; lunch will be provided.

"This event will provide the kids with a lot of opportunities to be creative and to play games and socialize with other children in a safe and supervised setting," said Dan Yoder, RPTA professor and Student Recreation Society adviser.

Advance registration, $5, is suggested as space is limited to 50 children. Registration on the day of the event, $7, will be held at a table located near the main north entrance to Hanson Field. To register or for more information, contact the RPTA department at 298-1967.
