Crosby Named CAS Development Director

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL -- Amy Crosby, former international student recruitment graduate assistant at Western Illinois University, has been named the WIU College of Arts and Sciences development director, effective April 2.

Crosby served as an international student recruitment graduate assistant and as an intern in the WIU Women's Center from 2016-2017. Previously, she was an intern in the WIU Advising and Academic Service Center (2016) and an undergraduate admissions counselor graduate assistant in WIU Admissions (2015-2016). She also has worked as a program coordinator and advocate for the McDonough County Teen Court and State Attorney's Office, respectively, 2013-2015 and 2011-2015).

"Amy is a great addition to our development office in the Division of Advancement and Public Services," said Paul Bubb, executive director of development. "Her previous experiences and familiarity with the University and the College of Arts and Sciences will be a real benefit as we continue to strengthen the private support from our alumni, parents and friends."

Crosby received two master's degrees from WIU and a bachelor's degree from University of Iowa.

The director of development reports to the executive director of development in the WIU Foundation and Development Office, and provides overall leadership for the college's fundraising program, with primary emphasis on securing major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations to support academic priorities of the college and the goals and objectives of the University's strategic plan "Higher Values in Higher Education."
