College of Arts and Sciences Honors Retirees, Civil Service Worker

MACOMB, IL - - Nine retiring faculty members and the civil service award recipient in the College of Arts and Sciences at Western Illinois University recently were honored.
Faculty retirees, as of Dec. 13, include James Vining and Lawrence Lewis, geography; James Nielsen, biology; Kwan Chung Kim and David Miller, sociology and anthropology; Tom Watkins, history; Syndy Conger and Bruce Leland, English; and Nancy Coney, social work. Psychology departments Donna Leach, a 30-year secretary, was also honored.
Fran Hainline, secretary IV, African American studies department, was the College of Arts and Sciences civil service award recipient. Support letters for Hainline praised her critical combination of skill, proficiency and personal integrity; knowledge of University culture and procedures; and her diligence and efficiency.
