Voss Obituary

MACOMB, IL – A funeral mass for Western Illinois University Mathematics Professor Emeritus David A. Voss, of Macomb, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16 at St. Paul Church in Macomb. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Voss, 75, passed away Friday, Jan. 11 in Macomb.
He began working at Western in 1971 and retired in 2006 as a professor in the WIU math department. While on sabbatical from WIU, he worked at NASA, the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Boeing and the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He also received a Professional Achievement Award (PAA) from WIU in 2002.
Voss is survived by his daughters, Melissa and Suzanne; four grandchildren; one brother and two sisters.
