"Moral Hazard" Topic of January 30 Ethics Panel

MACOMB, IL – A discussion of the novel “Moral Hazard” (Fourth Estate Publishing, 2002) by Kate Jennings will be featured as the third panel in a yearlong corporate responsibility series presented by the Western Illinois University Program for the Study of Ethics.

The program, open free to the public, is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 in Stipes Hall 527.

Panelists will include Cathy Early, a State Farm Insurance agent in Macomb; Charles Helm, professor and chair of WesternÂ’s political science department; and Jim Tripp, a WIU finance professor. Moderator is Sue Martinelli-Fernandez from philosophy and religious studies and co-director of the Program for the Study of Ethics.

Audience discussion will follow the panelists' remarks.

The panel is cosponsored by the Associated Students of Philosophy.
