WIU Offering Study Abroad in Germany Course in Spring 2020

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University departments of Anthropology and History will offer the Spring 2020 Study Abroad course "Germany North to South: A Cultural and Historical Journey" from May 19-30, 2020.

The three-credit hour course is being led by WIU Associate Professor of History Ute Chamberlin and Sociology and Anthropology Professor Heather McIlvaine-Newsad and is open to graduate and undergraduate students during the Spring 2020 semester.

The course will include travel to the cities of Berlin, Dresden and Nuremberg, Germany. The program cost includes round-trip air fare from Chicago, in-country transportation, lodging, entry fees to scheduled sites and some meals. It does not include WIU tuition, the cost of a passport and personal expenses.

The application deadline for the program is Nov. 10 and upcoming interest meetings will be held:

• Monday, Sept. 23 – Noon-1 p.m., Morgan 322
• Wednesday, Oct. 9 – Noon-1 p.m., Morgan 322
• Thursday, Oct. 31 – 1-2 p.m., Morgan 208
