WIU’s Graduate Psychology Programs to Host Open House Oct. 25

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University's Department of Psychology will host and open house for the Clinical, Experimental and School Psychology graduate programs from 1-4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 in Waggoner Hall, room 171.

Western's psychology graduate programs have been successfully graduating professionals who find jobs in mental health centers, businesses and schools for the last 50 years.

The event will include a gathering of faculty, current graduate students and staff discussing and sharing opportunities for graduate education and training in the three sub-disciplines of psychology at WIU. Prospective students interested in learning more about psychology graduate programs and careers are welcome to attend.

The open house will include:

• Meeting in small groups with program coordinators to discuss coursework, hands-on experiences and admission requirements

• Connecting with current faculty on research and applied experiences

• Speaking with current graduate students about their experiences and advice

• Asking questions of graduate school staff concerning financial aid and graduate assistantships

• Exploring career paths available with graduate training in psychology.
