WIU Equestrian Show Team Brings Home 14 Ribbons from Weekend Event

MACOMB, IL – The recently-formed Western Illinois University Equestrian Show Team competed in a weekend event at Black Hawk College.

The team brought home 14 ribbons, including two first place ribbons; two second place ribbons; two fourth place ribbons, three fifth place ribbons and five sixth place ribbons.

Individual results include:

• Senior agriculture major Brianna Parada, of Roxana, IL: First place and sixth place ribbons

• Freshman nursing major Haley Homel, of Burbank, IL: First place and sixth place ribbons

• Junior agriculture major Laine Crawford, of Sullivan, IL: Fifth place ribbon

• Junior forensic chemistry major Shea Jones, of Batavia, IL: Fourth place ribbon

• Senior biology major Meghan McCrery, of Galesburg, IL: Fifth place and sixth place ribbons

• Senior agriculture major Haley Smith, of Laura, IL: Second place and fifth place ribbons

• Sophomore computer science major Isaac Stevenson, of Downs, IL: Fourth and sixth place ribbons

• Junior broadcasting and journalism major Steven Smith, of Galesburg, IL: Second and sixth place ribbons
