Update: STEM Program for Regional Girl Scouts Canceled

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Women in Science program will host a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) program for regional Girl Scouts from 1-4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 18 in Currens Hall, 203.

Registration is $5 per person.

The Lab Girl program will allow more than 100 Daisy, Brownie, Cadettes, Junior, Senior and Ambassador Scouts to earn STEM badges and have the opportunity to complete hands-on science experiments.

The event is an opportunity for Girl Scouts to dive into science with the help of WIU faculty in University laboratories. WIU faculty volunteers, from departments of biological sciences, chemistry, earth, atmospheric and geographic information sciences (EAGIS) and physics will lead the hands-on activities for the Girl Scouts, assisted by members of WIU science student organizations.
