Virtual Science Saturday, 'Exploring the Night Sky: Past, Present and Future,' March 6

MACOMB, IL - The Western Illinois University Department of Physics will host episode six of its Virtual Science Saturday, "Exploring the Night Sky: Past, Present and Future," from 10-11 a.m. March 6.

This session will include information on free online resources to view the night sky, learn about eclipses and a discussion about current astronomy topics, including the Perseverance rover. The session is intended for students in kindergarten through high school and the general public.

This event will be led by WIU senior physics major Natalie Kovacevic, of Plainfield, IL, physics graduate student Moreom Akter and WIU Physics Professor Esteban D. Araya.

Virtual Science Saturday is open to anyone and can be joined at bit.ly/WIUScienceSaturday.
