Constitution Day Sept. 17 at WIU

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University will celebrate U.S. Constitution Day Thursday, Sept. 17 both virtually and through channel 3.

This year's theme is "The Right to Vote" and the panel discussion will include Keith Boeckelman, professor and chair of Political Science; Delilah Sanders, Political Science graduate student; and Victoria "Torrey" Smith, WIU's Student Legal Advocate.

Constitution Day celebrates the anniversary of the signing of the Constitution in 1787.

Other Constitution-related programming will air on channel 3 and across campus throughout the day.

Constitution Day is co-sponsored by WIU's Centennial Honors College.
