Students Earn Elkin-Larkin Awards

MACOMB, IL - Two Western Illinois University underclassmen were named recipients of the 2002-2003 Elkin-Larkin Award for outstanding students in the general orientation program.

Sophomore Stephen Struebig from Staunton and freshman Jaclynn Medhat from Downers Grove received the award based on their outstanding academic records and their University involvement. They each will receive $100 and their names will be inscribed on a permanent plaque in the University Advising and Academic Support Center (UAASC).

The award is given in honor of the late Robert Elkin and the late Jeanne Larkin, former staff members of the UAASC.
