In addition, Lt. Nakyah Smith, a junior LEJA major, of Chicago, IL, was awarded Outstanding Executive Board Member in an Organization during the OSE Student Leadership Award Ceremony, held April 17.

"I am extremely proud of our organization and our officers' dedication to Go West security. Each weekend, when most see it as a time of fun and relaxation, these student officers show up and are eager to help make our transit system safer," said Executive Director of Auxiliary Services and Go West Security Advisor Joseph Roselieb. "They are a true asset to the WIU campus and community. I appreciate their commitment."

The Go West Security Program, which began in 2005, was created to provide students an opportunity for a hands-on, practicum-driven experience, while also providing a service to the University community.
