MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – Western Illinois University President Guiyou Huang has announced a reorganization of the Division of Enrollment Management, which will be strategically realigned within several University divisions and then dissolved, effective immediately.

"We are always looking for ways to improve and move Western Illinois University into a better position for the future," said Huang. "Our goal with the reorganization is to increase collaboration within and among divisions, as well as to put more focus on accountability and efficiency."

Undergraduate Admissions & Enrollment Services and Retention Initiatives will move to the Division of the Vice President for Student Success, led by Interim Vice President John Smith, and Financial Aid will move to the Division of the Vice President for Finance and Administration, which will be led by Paul Edwards, beginning July 1.

First Year Academic Advising will report to the Provost's office, led by Provost and Academic Vice President Manoochehr Zoghi; while the Center for Career Preparation and Employer Engagement will report to Vice President for Quad Cities Campus Operations Kristi Mindrup.

"Student success and retention are always our focus. Retention Initiatives will now be part of the same division as the rest of the student services and engagement areas, which will create more synergy and increase collaboration opportunities," Huang said. "The reorganization will further enhance the services and programs we provide to our students, the campus and the region."
