Vinod Named Interim Chair of WIU's Chemistry Department

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – Western Illinois University Emeritus Professor T.K. Vinod has been named interim chair of the University's Department of Chemistry, effective July 1.

Vinod was a professor at WIU from Fall 2006, until his retirement in Spring 2022. Prior to this time, Vinod was an associate professor at WIU from 2001-06; an assistant professor at WIU from 1997-01; an instructor at the University of Oregon from 1993-97; a research associate at the University of Oregon from 1992-93; a research associate at Michigan State University from 1986-1991; and a graduate assistant at the University of Victoria from 1981-86.

Vinod received his master's degree from the University of Calicut in India; and his doctoral degree from the University of Victoria in Canada.
