WIU Department of English to Host Reading Room Series

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University Department of English will host the second annual 2023 Reading Room Series from 4-5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23 in Simpkins Hall room 025.
The Reading Room Series is intended to provide a space for students, faculty and staff to share and enjoy creative or scholarly works to enhance and showcase the amazing variety of writing within the WIU English community.
The event features three speakers, along with an open mic session. All students, staff and faculty are invited to attend. The Reading Room is an opportunity for students to develop their writing and presentation skills. Hot cocoa and cookies will be available for all attendees to enjoy.
Students interested in presenting their work at the open mic session or being considered for a presenting spot for next semester, should email Barbara Lawhorn at BC-Lawhorn@wiu.edu.
