MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - Jack Kolosky, an esteemed alumnus of Western Illinois University College of Business and Technology (CBT) from the class of '76, recently spoke at his alma mater as part of the prestigious Executive in Residence Series (EIR) program.

During the event, Kolosky passionately shared his insights on the paramount role of the EIR program in shaping the Western experience. He articulated how this program provides students with the unique opportunity to break free from the confines of the classroom and immerse themselves in the real-world challenges faced by businesses and non-profit organizations.

The program, catering to both undergraduate and graduate students, equips them with invaluable in-school experiences in business consulting, bridging the gap between academia and industry. This mission closely aligns with CBT's dedication to preparing students for the dynamic and interconnected global economic environment they will enter into following graduation. The EIR program's goal is to mold students into more effective leaders through these hands-on experiences, mirroring the challenges they will encounter in the business world.

Kolosky, currently serving as the executive director of the Alliance of Dedicated Cancer Centers (ADCC), joined this esteemed organization in 2021. Prior to ADCC, he held positions of executive vice president and chief operating officer at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL, as well as the president of Moffitt Hospital. With over three decades of leadership experience in the field of healthcare, Kolosky's expertise is unparalleled. His career also includes roles as the chief financial officer for the Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and as the associate vice president and chief financial officer of the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.

Kolosky's academic journey began at WIU, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Accounting and followed by a Master of Business Administration from Drake University. His dedication to continuous learning is evident through his certification as a Certified Public Accountant, achieved at the prestigious Harvard University School of Public Health.

In the eyes of the WIU CBT community, Kolosky stands as a beacon of success, demonstrating how education and practical experience can merge to create influential leaders ready to excel in the evolving landscape of business and technology. His visit and insightful address underscored the invaluable impact of the EIR program, strengthening the bond between the institution and its accomplished alumni, inspiring generations of students to pursue their aspirations with determination and a commitment to excellence.
