WIU Announces Spring 2026 Career and Internship Fairs

MACOMB, IL — Western Illinois University's Center for Career Preparation and Employer Engagement and academic departments will host a series of Career and Internship Fairs during the Spring 2026 semester, offering students opportunities to connect with employers, explore career paths and secure internships and full-time positions.

The Spring 2026 Career and Internship Fairs will begin with the QC Expo Career and Internship Fair 1-4 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 18, held at the Bend Expo Center in East Moline. This event will bring together employers from a variety of industries seeking to recruit students and alumni from across the Quad Cities region.

From 1-3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, WIU will host the Education Career Fair at the University Union in Macomb, providing education-focused employers the opportunity to meet students pursuing careers in teaching, administration and related fields, in speech pathology, school counseling, school psychology, school social work and more.

The All Major Career and Internship Fair will take place from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, also at the University Union in Macomb. This event is open to students from all academic majors and will feature employers representing diverse industries and career opportunities.

The spring series will conclude with the LEJA Public Safety Career and Internship Fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, at the University Union in Macomb, connecting students interested in criminal justice, law enforcement and public safety careers with regional agencies and organizations.

Students are encouraged to prepare in advance by registering through Handshake at wiu.joinhandshake.com, where additional event details and participating employers will be posted.
