Child Maltreatment Topic of WIU Inclusion Conference in Bettendorf, IA

MACOMB, IL - - Tracy Cruise, a certified school psychologist and associate professor of psychology at Western Illinois University, and Connie Burrows Horton, director of counseling and consultation services at Illinois Wesleyan University, will address child maltreatment identification and intervention at Western Illinois University’s 2005 Inclusion Conference. The professional development workshop will be held Friday, March 4 at The Lodge Hotel and Conference Center in Bettendorf, IA.

The conference is designed to present skills that are useful to regular and special educators, school psychologists, social workers, counselors, mental health professionals, school administrators and representatives of community service agencies.

The day will begin with registration and continental breakfast at 8 a.m. followed by the first workshop at 9 a.m., a noon luncheon and conclusion at 3:30 p.m. The $89 registration fee, which includes conference materials and the luncheon, is due by Monday, Feb. 28.
