Phi Mu Alpha Presents Hurricane Katrina Benefit Concert September 26

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University chapter of Phi Mu Alpha will present a Hurricane Katrina Benefit Concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

A variety of music styles – from classical to pop – will be offered during the concert, which will include featured performances from students, faculty and the University community. Various faculty and student solos will be performed and groups such as the Camerata Woodwind Quintet, Mu Phi Epsilon, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, The Advantage, The Praireland Barbershop Group, Extreme Bass Quintet and the WIU Flute Trio will be performing.

Freewill donations will be accepted. Proceeds will benefit the A.R.K (The Arts Remember Katrina), which is an effort to provide assistance to those artists and arts organizations most devastated by Hurricane Katrina. All A.R.K. proceeds will benefit the Southern Federation for the Arts Emergency Relief fund.
