Interdisciplinary Panel and Dialogue November 14 at WIU

MACOMB, IL - - The African American Studies department at Western Illinois University will sponsor a University-wide dialogue about conflict, race, media and law enforcement with an interdisciplinary panel and discussion Monday, Nov. 14.
The 4-6:30 p.m. panel and dialogue Can We All Get Along? will be held Monday in Morgan Hall 109. A question and answer session will follow the panel.
An alleged police beating Oct. 10 of Robert Davis, an African American resident of New Orleans, recorded by a television producer is the foundation for this panel.
Panelists will include J.Q. Adams, educational and interdisciplinary studies professor; Vivian Incera, physics chair and professor; Nancy Kwang Johnson, African American Studies assistant professor; and Jill Myers, an attorney and an assistant professor in law enforcement and justice administration. Abdul-Rasheed NaAllah, chair and associate professor of African American Studies, will moderate the panel.
