Personality Psychology Lecture By UIC Professor October 20

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University psychology department continues the Fall 2006 colloquium series at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20 with the lecture “A Personality Psychology of Individual Persons: On Intra-Individual Personality Architecture and Coherence,” by Daniel Cervone. The event, located in Waggoner Hall 054, is open free to the public.

Cervone, a professor of psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, researches in the areas of social cognition and personality; and perceived self-efficacy: goal setting and self-regulations, and affect and cognition.

Cervone’s current research primarily examines social-cognitive mechanisms that contribute to people’s tendency to exhibit relatively consistent patterns of experience and action across diverse life circumstances.
