Winter Solstice Dance Concert:
WWIU dance students and faculty will present their annual Winter Solstice Dance Concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 30-Dec. 2 in the Browne Hall Hainline Theatre. Tickets – $9 for the public and $6 for seniors and students – are available through the Hainline Theatre Box Office from noon-5 p.m. weekdays, telephone 309/298-2900. Tickets will also be available at the door the evening of the performances.

Dickens on the Square:
A Dickens Eve is held Friday night with open houses, beautifully-lighted windows, musical entertainment and a chance to win gift certificate wreaths. Saturday's events include complimentary carriage rides, along with a multitude of activities and entertainment. Children can have their pictures taken with Santa or the family can have a Victorian portrait taken. Performers provide musical entertainment as you stroll the beautifully decorated streets. Storytelling, jugglers, magicians and more….

Madrigal Dinner:
The event will feature performances by WIU music students as singers, instrumentalists and actors including a king, a queen and a jester. The menu, catered by Sodexho Campus Services, includes crudites, medieval bread, cheddar cheese soup, roast chicken, dressing, glazed carrots and dessert. Soft drinks, wine and beer can also be purchased during the event. Tickets, $25, are on sale in the Browne Hall Hainline Theatre Box Office. For more information, contact the Box Office at 309/298-2900.

Live Nativity Scene, First Baptist Church:
Enjoy the peaceful live nativity scene, and listen to lovely organ music inside.

Festival of Trees:
The festival will feature many beautifully decorated holiday trees and wreaths, entertainment provided by local groups and individuals, an “I Spy” game and a tree raffle. The funds raised from this year's event are being dedicated toward the purchase of new birthing beds in the Obstetrics Department at MDH. Admission: $3 (children 12 & under, free)

Children’s Shopping Mall:
The Children’s Shopping Mall at Citizen’s National Bank features gift tables containing merchandise from local retailers for children ages 3 to 10 to shop for their family, friends, teachers and themselves at the holiday mall. Presents, ranging in price from $1 to $10, are sold to the children and wrapped for free. Parents and guardians are asked to wait in a designated area within the bank where they can enjoy refreshments while their children shop.

Country Holiday:
This beloved event returns to WIU’s Horn Field Campus. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under. Horn is located south of Macomb on China Road. From South Johnson Street (past Macomb High School), turn right on China Road and follow the road one-quarter of a mile to the Horn Field Campus entrance.
