Winners of ROTC Valentine's Pistol Shoot

MACOMB, IL - - Nine individuals walked away with prizes in the annual Western Illinois University ROTC Valentine Pistol Shoot held at the Horrabin Hall Indoor Range.

Don Creger, an assistant professor in engineering technology, was the grand prize winner nabbing a bouquet of flowers from Monet's Garden, a $20 gift certificate from Red Ox Supper Club and a $5 Family Video card.

The second place prize of ruby earrings from Diamond Den was earned by senior computer science major Brody Dyer (Springfield, IL). Senior psychology major Kevin Finizio (Addison) also won a pair of ruby earrings donated by Diamond Den.

Other winners included: sophomore law enforcement and justice administration (LEJA) major Jordan Legris (Orland Park, IL), a $50 gift certificate from Middle Earth; senior recreation, park and tourism administration major Luke Taylor (St. Charles, IL), a $20 gift certificate from Pawn Plus; junior Board of Trustees-Bachelor of Arts degree program major Daniel Davis (Lanark, IL), a bouquet of flowers from Enchanted Florist; freshman LEJA major Steve Barry (Gurnee), a candy bucket; junior LEJA major Joe Gorzkowski (Chicago), a candy bucket; and sophomore LEJA major Doug Nandell (Macomb), the 50/50 drawing.

A silent auction was also held, with gift baskets donated by Little Java House, Jane's Off Jackson, ROTC, and Family Video with the ROTC rifle and pistol team.

Money raised from the Valentine Pistol Shoot goes to Western's ROTC rifle and pistol team.
