WIU Military Science Chair to Receive Promotion April 3

MACOMB, IL - - Maj. Steven Rosson, chair of Western Illinois University's military science department, will be promoted to a U.S. Army lieutenant colonel in a 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 3 ceremony in Horrabin Hall 1 on Western's campus.

WIU Provost and Academic Vice President Joseph C. Rallo will conduct the ceremony. Col. Rallo served on active duty with the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force and remains in the Air Force Reserve as the Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA) to the Commandant, Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell AFB, AL.

Rosson reported to duty as the 13th professor of military science in the department's 38-year history on June 15, 2006.
