Colchester Nurse Receives Hanson Scholarship

MACOMB, IL - - An area nurse pursuing academic coursework at Western Illinois University has been awarded a scholarship through the Dorothy R. Hanson endowment.
Established through the Western Illinois University Foundation in 1980, the Hanson awards are made to registered nurses who reside in, or practice their professional skills in, McDonough County while attending classes at Western.
Recipient of the Hanson Scholarship for the Fall 2007 semester is Marsha L. Weaver of Colchester.
Applications, new or renewals, for Spring 2008 are due December 1 to the Department of Health Sciences, Stipes Hall 402, WIU, 1 University Circle, Macomb, IL 61455-1390.
