MACOMB, IL -- Looking for the perfect prom dress but just don't know how to begin? Five Western Illinois University fashion merchandising students will help you make the ideal selection.

Seniors Shauna Zmuda (Glen Ellyn, IL), Stephanie Macko (Cary, IL), Stephanie Lovingood (Peoria, IL), Nicole Namyst (Park Ridge, IL) and junior Kari Queckboerner (Chadwick, IL), students in Susan Creasey's Fashion Promotion class, are currently working on a project involving prom dress consultation for area high school students. The students will be at Bonnie's Bridal Shop in Macomb from noon-6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18 to provide the service at no cost.

"We'll help young ladies find the perfect dress by helping them with fit, color and price," Zmuda explained. "We'll also help them accessorize."

Refreshments will be provided, and raffles for $50 off a dress and a free makeover will be offered.

"We really appreciate the local retailers' willingness and cooperation in working with our students," Creasey said. "These opportunities allow our students to put all the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom into an actual work experience."
