MACOMB, IL - - Agriculture enthusiasts are invited to take a tour of Western Illinois University's Allison Organic Research and Demonstration Farm, located in southern Warren County (IL), tonight and Thursday, Sept. 18, according to Joel Gruver, assistant professor in WIU's department of agriculture.

The tours will start at 6 p.m.

"The tours will last about one hour and will consist of walking around the farm looking at our research plots -- soybean variety trial, two corn hybrid comparisons, two cover crop experiments, organic N fertilizer experiment -- and production fields (corn, soybeans, popcorn, alfalfa)," said Gruver. "The format will be informal and will hopefully result in lots of interesting discussion."
