WIU's 11th Annual Halloween Concert for Kids Oct. 29

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University's Symphony Orchestra, under the guidance of Director of Orchestral Activities Richard Hughey, will present the 11th Annual Halloween Concert for Kids at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29 at the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall, located in Simpkins Hall.

Parents are encouraged to have their children come to the concert in costumes; free candy will be handed out. The concert is open free to the public.

The entertaining "Indiana Jones Halloween" program will include four compositions: Joseph Haydn's "Symphony No. 93, D Major;" Hector Berlioz's "Hungarian March;" Alexander Mosolov's "Zavod (The Iron Foundry);" and John Williams' "Raider's March."

Citizens Bank is sponsoring the concert, along with support from Western's Music Business Association.
