African American Student Art Exhibit Feb. 22-Feb. 26

MACOMB, IL - - Ten African American students enrolled in the art department at Western Illinois University will showcase their artwork from Monday, Feb. 22 through Friday, Feb. 26 as a part of the African American Student Art Exhibit.

The open house exhibit will be displayed in the Garden Lounge in the Leslie F. Malpass Library. The University Libraries and art department will also be hosting an Exhibit Opening Reception at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22.

The students displaying their art in the exhibit include: Jalisa Hike (freshman, art, Chicago); Nicholas Jackson (sophomore, art, Macomb); Whitney Waller (sophomore, art, Calumet City, IL); Anitra Jordan (sophomore, art, Calumet City, IL); Nicholas Bibbs (junior, art, Oak Park, IL); Gabriel Keagan Thein (senior, art, Pawnee, IL); Jonathan Stewart (freshman, art, Chicago); Kevin Smith (junior, art, Macomb); Thomas Sewell (freshman, art, Chicago); and Jonathan Newton (freshman, art, Dolton, IL).
