Head Out to Horn Field Campus July 16 for Climbing and Rappelling Instruction

MACOMB, IL -- Rock climbers and rock climber wannabes are encouraged to come out to Western Illinois University's Horn Field Campus on Friday, July 16 for HFC's annual summer opportunity to learn about -- and try out -- rock climbing and rappelling. HFC's 40-foot climbing tower will be open from 6-8:30 p.m. for those interested in learning the ups and downs of this increasingly popular sport and activity.

Cost per climber is $5 and equipment and instruction are included in the fee. Climbers age 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No reservations are necessary.

HFC is located south of Macomb on China Road. From South Johnson Street (past Macomb High School), turn right on China Road and follow the road one-quarter of a mile to the Horn Field Campus entrance. Parking is permitted on the HFC lot.
