MACOMB, IL -- The Western Illinois University Horn Field Campus Lodge will be the venue for a day of "effortless transformation" from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6. According to Mindy Pheiffer, program coordinator at Horn Field Campus (HFC), the event, a "nondual retreat," will provide an opportunity for participants to relax and will be led by retired WIU faculty member Adam Chacksfield, facilitator of the Nondual Dialogue Group and the Macomb Meditation Group.

"Adam has been leading retreats and workshops since retiring from the faculty at Western in 2005, and he is currently studying with Peter Fenner, a pioneer in the field of nondual psychotherapy," Pheiffer explained. "The Nondual Retreat provides an opportunity for participants to gently relax into a space of perfect ease, free of all anxiety, stress or need for anything to be changed. Without any effort at all, participants will be enabled to realize and rest in the spontaneously arising bliss of inner peace."

Pheiffer noted that participants do not need prior experience with or knowledge about nondual dialogue in order to benefit from this retreat.

"Through a mix of nondual dialogue and non-meditation, participants will be softly guided beyond the conceptual mind into the open space of effortless being, transforming the quality of life at its deepest psycho-spiritual roots without the need for anything to be done," she added.

Cost for participating in the retreat is $20 per person; however, Pheiffer noted lack of funds will not prohibit individuals from participating. Space is limited, so pre-registration is required to guarantee participation.

More information about Peter Fenner and nondual training is available on Fenner's website at www.nondualtraining.com.
