WIU Students Get Online Presidential Election Survey

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – Western Illinois University students in Macomb and Quad Cities can expect to receive an email to their WIU account from the political science department asking them to participate in an online presidential election survey.
Keith Boeckelman, professor and interim chair of political science, said the survey should take only 15 minutes and will be 100 percent confidential.
"We are working in collaboration with many other departments and academic units across campus preparing for the upcoming Mock Presidential Elections, co-directed by Rick Hardy, interim director of Western's Centennial Honors College and political science professor, and John Hemingway, associate professor of recreation, park and tourism administration," Boeckelman said. "The Mock Elections will begin Oct. 19 in the Quad Cities, followed by five nights (Oct. 25, 27; Nov. 1, 3, 7) in Macomb.
"This presidential election survey is crucial to measure students' political attitudes and how they will impact participation in the upcoming presidential election. We appreciate students willingness to participate," Boeckelman added.
