MACOMB, IL – Naperville North High School senior Madeline Olejnik, of Naperville, IL, has been selected for Western Illinois University's Centennial Honors Scholarship, which covers four years of tuition, fees and a residence hall room at the school.

High school students with an ACT score of 32 or higher and a grade point average of 3.5 or higher are eligible for the scholarship.

Olejnik said she will likely major in history at Western.

Olejnik said she chose Western because it offers a great educational value.

"Students should consider both Western's educational value and reputation," she said.

In high school, Olejnik participated in drama, art and her school's literary magazine.

After graduation from WIU, Olejnik plans to attend graduate school.
