MACOMB, IL -- Seth Miner, interim director of admissions at Bemidji (MN) State University, has been named director of admissions at Western Illinois University, effective Sept. 26, according to Ron Williams, interim vice president for student services.

Miner has served as the interim director of admissions at Bemidji State University since July 2015. Previously, he was the associate director of admissions and enrollment and scholarship coordinator at Bemidji State (2014-15), associate director of admissions at Upper Iowa University (2011-14) and area coordinator (residence hall complex) at Luther College (Decorah, IA). Miner has also worked as an international admissions coordinator and lifetime wellness coordinator at Luther, and as an admissions counselor at Waldorf College in Forest City, IA.

"I am pleased to welcome Seth Miner to the Western Illinois University family," Williams said. "His previous experiences in admissions and enrollment management make him an outstanding choice to help us meet the University's enrollment goals, while enhancing the services provided by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions."

Miner earned his master's degree in higher education administration (leadership emphasis) from Upper Iowa University (Fayette) in May 2014 and his bachelor's degree in history/pre-law from Waldorf College (Forest City, IA) in 2003. He is currently pursuing his doctorate of education (emphasis on higher education policy and administration) at St. Cloud State University (St. Cloud, MN).
