WIU Mourns Student Death

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - The Western Illinois University community is saddened to learn of the death of WIU-Quad Cities graduate student Brian Cronkleton, 40, of Davenport, IA, who died Aug. 6 in Bettendorf, IA.
Cronkleton was pursuing a master's degree in counseling.
"We extend our thoughts and sympathies to Brians's family and friends," said Western Illinois University Acting President Martin Abraham.
A celebration of life will be held from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport (614 Main St.). Memorials may be made to the family to establish a fund for Cronkleton's sons.
