WIU to Host Post-Election Panel Discussion

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – The Western Illinois University Office of the President and Division for Academic Affairs will host a post-election panel discussion from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5.
While the event will be held live, with invitation-only participants in person to adhere to social distancing and health safety protocols, the discussion will be streamed live via Zoom. Participants can ask questions of the panelists via the streaming service's Q & A feature. Individuals who wish to view the live stream and ask questions must register at bit.ly/WIUPostElectionPanel.
The panel discussion, which will be moderated by WIU Political Science Chair and political analyst Keith Boeckelman, will include Earl Bracey, attorney at law and associate vice president emeritus for student services at WIU; Will Buss, broadcasting and journalism instructor and faculty adviser for the Western Courier; Amy Buwick, director of the University Counseling Center; Jane Coplan, president of the McDonough County League of Women Voters; Jose Galvan, Macomb Junior-Senior High School social studies teacher; and Jessica Martin, WIU broadcasting and journalism instructor and adviser for WIU's NEWS3 student-run newscast.
