'Spring Into a Fun Semester' at WIU Continues March 15-27

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Office of Student Engagement (OSE), in conjunction with numerous other campus offices, will host "Spring Into a Fun Semester" March 15-27 during the Spring 2021 semester.

The goal of the events is to help engage students and help them make meaningful connections.

The two-week schedule includes:

• Monday, March 15
- Campus Rec NBA2K Tournament Begins, virtual, ends March 19
- 5 p.m. - Campus Rec 3 point Contest, in person, located in Campus Rec
- All day - University Counseling Center Kinder Monday with OPS, in person, located all over campus

• Tuesday, March 16
-5-7 p.m. - Women's History Month - Selena Night, in person, located in the Multicultural Center
(MCC) Dance Studio

• Wednesday, March 17
- 4 p.m. –L.E.A.D. Series – Parliamentary Procedure & Robert's Rules of Order, located in the Capitol Room of the Union
- 6-7 p.m. – WIU's Zoom Social, virtual
- 7-9 p.m. – UUB Trivia Night, virtual

• Friday, March 19
- 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. – MCC LGBT*QA Resource Center – "What's the T*?" in person, located in the MCC
- 6:30-9 p.m. - Good as Hell: Karaoke, in person, located in the MCC

• Saturday, March 20
- 9 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. – MCC Women's Retreat – "In the Company of Women: A Focus on the Golden Triangle" (Relationships, self esteem and power), virtual

• Monday, March 22
- Campus Rec National Goof Off Day/ Trick Shot Challenge, virtual
- 5 p.m. – L.E.A.D. Series – Deconstructing the Hook-Up, in person, located in the Sandburg Lounge of the University Union

• Tuesday, March 23
- 3:30 p.m. – L.E.A.D. Series – Student Engagement: How to Get Involved, in person, located in the Lamoine Room of the University Union
- 5:30 p.m. – Every Tuesday until April 23 - Campus Rec Pickleball League begins- in person, located in the Campus Rec

• Wednesday, March 24
- 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. – Wednesday's with the Women's Center: Beautifully Head Wrapped, in person, located in the MCC Multipurpose Room
- 5-7 p.m. - Women's Intersectionality, in person, located in the MCC
- 6-7 p.m. – WIU's Zoom Social, virtual
- 7 p.m. - UUB Bingo- virtual

• Friday, March 26
- 1-2 p.m.- Café y Hablamos, in person, located in the MCC Casa Latina Cultural Center
- 2:30- 3:30 p.m. – L.E.A.D Series- Beyond the Buzz, in person, located in the Sandburg Lounge of the University Union
- 4-6 p.m. – MCC Woman Talk, in person, located in the MCC Multipurpose Room

• Saturday March 27
- Noon, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.- Football, softball, baseball and volleyball games vs. North Dakota, virtual
- Noon- 6 p.m. - RockyTHON, Live on Youtube
