Open Session for Director of Development for Corporate Relations at WIU

MOLINE, IL – One candidate for the Western Illinois University Director of Development for Corporate Relations position will interview Thursday, Sept. 9.
Rick Pesavento will be available for a virtual open session with faculty and staff from 2-2:45 p.m. in the 3420A board room on the Moline, IL, campus. The session can be joined at wiu.zoom.us/j/96996399079.
An open session with deans, directors and department chairs will be held from 3-3:45 p.m. in the same board room. That session can be accessed at wiu.zoom.us/j/95728345448.
The position will be based on WIU's Quad Cities campus.
Pesavento served as a regional development specialist with the Lions Clubs International Foundation in Oak Brook, IL, from 2018-19. He was director of community engagement for Opportunity House, Inc. in Sycamore, IL, from 2016-18; general manager and former board member for Collaborative Heathcare Urgency Group in Des Plains, IL, from 2008-16; director of development for Dupage Senior Citizens Council in Lombard, IL, in 2013; fundraising manager for United Way of Metropolitan Chicago, from 2009-13 and a territory sales representative for All American Fence in Riverwoods, IL, from 2008-2010.
Pesavento received his bachelor's degree in psychology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, and his master's degree in counseling psychology from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL.

The position serves as the primary contact for corporations in collaborating with the University; works closely with other campus partners to coordinate strategic relationships between Western and corporations; coordinates University fundraising approaches and develops and presents funding proposals to corporations; ensures a high quality stewardship process; assists in similar functions with identification, cultivation, and solicitation of foundations for support of WIU.
