MACOMB, IL -- During the recent Western Illinois University-Macomb Student Government Association (SGA) elections, Cody Cornell, a sophomore agriculture major from Columbia (IL), was elected as the student member to the WIU Board of Trustees, while Fiifi Godwyll, a senior cyber security major from Pensacola, FL, was elected SGA president and Terriana (Tao) Odom, a freshman computer science major from Chicago, was elected senator-at-large.

Cornell is a member of Alpha Gamma Rho, serving as the vice president of activities for the fraternity, and the Interfraternity Council, serving as the vice president of judicial affairs. He is also the SGA's director of academic affairs.

"I am proud to serve as the next student representative to the Board of Trustees, and I want all WIU students to know that I am your representative and I am your voice," Cornell said. "I want to see WIU as the institution for opportunity and success for all members of the Leatherneck community. I encourage my classmates to reach out to me if they need me to share their concerns and voices."

Godwyll currently serves as the SGA director of public relations. He is also a member of the President's Anti-Racism Task Force, serves as a general adviser for the Computer Science Association and is on the leadership team for Campus Students for Christ.

Odom is the president of the University Union Advisory Board and is a member of the University Union Board.

Two additional senator-at-large positions remain available. Students should email sga@wiu.edu if they are interested in being considered for the senator-at-large positions.
