WIU Hosting Chamber Winds and Wind Ensemble Concert Saturday

MACOMB, IL - The Western Illinois University School of Music will present a Chamber Winds and Wind Ensemble Concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

The Chamber Winds and WIU's full Wind Ensemble will both be led by graduate conducting student Benjamin Scholz, of Macomb. They will perform works by Eric Ewazen, Vaibhav Mohanty, Samuel Adler, Philip Sparke and Carl Orff's Carmina Burana.

Scholz is a student of Director of Bands Mike Fansler, and this performance is in partial fulfillment of the Master of Music degree in Wind Conducting at WIU.

This performance is free and open for general audience seating and will be live-streamed on the School of Music's YouTube channel and on its Facebook page.
