WIU-QC to Host Manage Your Stress Week May 1-4

MOLINE, IL -- Western Illinois University-Quad Cities will host a range of events and activities for "Manage Your Stress Week" Monday-Thursday, May 1-4, a WIU-QC tradition that occurs the week before final exams. WIU-QC Student Services, the Student Government Association and various student organizations collaborate to offer a range of relaxing and engaging activities to help faculty, staff and students to de-stress for the week to come.
"I think Manage Your Stress Week is a great opportunity to relax and be social in a time where stress and anxiety are highest for most students," said Student Government Association Vice President Austin Tubbs. "My first Manage Your Stress Week was this last fall and I was surprised about all the activities being offered. Now, as Vice President of the WIU-QC Student Government Association, I am excited I get to offer ideas and help plan Manage Your Stress Week this Spring"
Events include:
Monday, May 1
- 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Riverfront Hall parking lot, Sugar Addicts Mini Donuts Food Truck
- 4-5 p.m., Skybridge between buildings B and C, Painting Pots with the Counseling Association
Tuesday, May 2
- 7:30 a.m.-noon, Riverfront Hall parking lot, Unimpaired
- 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Riverfront Hall reception, QCCAN Therapy Dogs
- 2-5 p.m., Building C Atrium, Paint Party, hosted by Psychology Club
- 6:20-7:20 p.m., Gold Rocky statue in the courtyard, Walk and Talk with the Counseling Association
Wednesday, May 3
- Noon-3 p.m., Riverfront Hall parking lot, Sweet Delite Ice Cream Truck
- 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Riverfront Hall reception, QCCAN Therapy Dogs
- 6-7 p.m., Skybridge between buildings B and C, Painting Rocks with the Counseling Association
Thursday, May 4
- 7:30 a.m.-noon, Riverfront Hall parking lot, Unimpaired
- 6-8 p.m., Building C Atrium, Super Smash Bros Tournament, bring your own controller and join local high school and college students in a tournament to win prizes.
