Griffith Named Deputy Director of Operations and Maintenance at WIU

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University Interim Deputy Director of Operations and Maintenance Justin Griffith has been named the permanent deputy director, effective May 16.

Griffith has been interim deputy director since September 2022. Previously, he was superintendent of landscape maintenance at WIU from January-September 2022. Prior to coming to Western, Griffith was a department manager at Pella Windows and Doors from January 2021-January 2022; director of public works for the city of Bushnell from March 2016-January 2022, and worked in several other positions for the city of Bushnell.

"Justin has served as the interim Deputy Director of Operations and Maintenance, and we would like to congratulate him on his selection in the permanent role," said Assistant Vice President for Facilities Management Troy Rhoads. "Justin brings with him a customer-friendly approach, with good communication skills. I'm confident that Justin's background of knowledge and experience will serve Western well."
