WIU Multicultural Center Harmony in Diversity Event Oct. 7

MACOMB, IL - - "Strength lies in differences, not in similarities," American educator and writer Stephen Covey said. The Western Illinois Multicultural Center (MCC) will host "Harmony in Diversity: Exploring Bangladesh" for the WIU community from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 in the MCC.

The event aims to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh. The MCC believes there is no better way to foster the understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures than through direct experience. Students, faculty and staff are all invited to engage the culture of Bangladesh.

The program will include cultural performances, traditional Bangladeshi music and dance, informative presentations and a continental lunch featuring Bangladeshi cuisine.

The Multicultural Center is on Murray Street/CT Vivian Way, across from the University Union.
