MACOMB, IL - - In a powerful demonstration of philanthropy and commitment to inclusivity, the local fraternity chapter at Western Illinois University, Pi Kappa Phi, is set to make a significant impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities. Partnering with The Ability Experience, a renowned non-profit dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities, Pi Kappa Phi is initiating a fundraising campaign that holds the promise of positive change.

The Ability Experience has pledged to match funds raised by Pi Kappa Phi, offering an inspiring incentive for the community to contribute. The non-profit organization specializes in raising funds and providing grants to support various initiatives that cater to the unique needs of individuals with disabilities.

"At The Ability Experience, we are proud to collaborate with Pi Kappa Phi in their noble endeavor to support individuals with disabilities," RPTH Graduate Assistant Kyle Ramlow said. "Our mission is to create opportunities for people of all abilities and we believe this partnership will make a lasting impact on those in need."

The funds for this initiative will be generated through a campaign orchestrated by the local Pi Kappa Phi chapter at WIU. Once the initial $3,000 goal is achieved, The Ability Experience will match this amount, effectively doubling the impact of the donation.

"Pi Kappa Phi is not just a fraternity; we are a force for positive change," Ramlow said.

"Owning and operating The Ability Experience sets us apart, and this collaboration showcases our dedication to making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. We are excited to see the community come together to support this cause."

The check presentation ceremony will take place once the initial $3,000 target is reached. This symbolic event will not only mark a milestone in the collaboration between Pi Kappa Phi and The Ability Experience but also represent a tangible contribution toward supporting organizations that provide essential services to individuals with disabilities.

Pi Kappa Phi will launch their fundraising effort on Tuesday, Nov. 28 as part of Western Illinois University's GivingTuesday effort. Visit bit.ly/WIUGivingTuesday and designate your gift to Student Life > Sensory Room.
