President Issues Holiday Greeting

Western Illinois University Faculty, Staff and Students:
With the winter holidays approaching I encourage the University community to celebrate all that we should be thankful for, especially the welcoming, caring and supportive nature of our campus community. We should appreciate the successes and opportunities we have enjoyed this past year. We should also take the time to express our gratitude to our families, loved ones, colleagues and friends.
Elaine and I, as well as our children, want to express our gratitude for the many friendships we have made since joining the Western Illinois University community. I am honored to serve as the president of this outstanding university, and I look forward to another holiday season at Western.
Elaine and I would like to invite all faculty, staff, students and community members to join us for an informal holiday open house at the University Residence from 3-6 p.m Wednesday, Dec. 7. We hope to see you all there.
