WIU Regional Touring Theatre Company On-Campus Preview of "Rumplestiltskin" Set for Sept. 21

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University's Regional Touring Theatre Company (RTTC) presents an on-campus preview of "Rumplestiltskin" at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, in the Simpkins Hall Theatre.

The WIU RTTC, established in 1974, has presented more than 3,200 productions of 74 plays to more than 800,000 elementary school students throughout Illinois, Iowa and Missouri. The RTTC performs primarily for grade schools but also performs in community centers and libraries.

Each fall and spring, a professional company of graduate student actors creates innovative theatre that is sure to instruct, involve, inspire and entertain hundreds of elementary and junior high school children in the tri-state region.

In Fall 2008, RTTC will perform "Rumplestiltskin," directed by Jason Conner, WIU assistant professor. The production stars Sara Pavlak, Jonathan Self, Glen Wall and Colin Wasmund. Set design is by Shana Joslyn and costume design is by Missy Swanson.

The Sept. 21 performance is open free to the public.
