Caryn Morgan Named COAA Advisor of the Month

MACOMB, IL - -The Western Illinois University Council of Academic Advisors (COAA) announced Caryn Morgan as the April 2015 Advisor of the Month.

Morgan, the African American studies advisor, was nominated by Fran Hainline, office manager for African American studies. In her nomination, Hainline said Caryn is the go-to person for any questions involving current, past and future catalog/major requirements.

"Ms. Morgan contributes ideas and sets examples for others with her attitude toward her work," Hainline said. "She is enthusiastic and dedicated to the academic viability of the African American Studies major."

The major objective of COAA is to advocate academic advising at Western Illinois University. Morgan is the last nominee for the 2014-15 school year. The next Advisor of the Month will be awarded in September 2015.
